Editing Advice

Sterling generates advice as a starting point for identifying wealth management strategies. The platform analyzes household data and surfaces opportunities you might otherwise miss. However, all advice requires your professional review before delivery to clients.

Advice is Your Responsibility

Sterling can make mistakes. AI-generated recommendations are not a substitute for professional judgment. You must read, edit, and confirm all advice before sharing with clients.

The Review Process

Click any advice card to open the detail view. Review the recommendation against your knowledge of the client's complete situation. Consider factors Sterling may not have visibility into, such as client preferences, risk tolerance, or recent conversations.

Each piece of advice includes two customizable sections: the Overview and the Estimated Value. Both are fully editable to reflect your professional assessment.

Customizing the Overview

The Overview tab contains the main recommendation text. Click anywhere in the text area to edit. Adjust the language to match your communication style. Add context specific to your client. Remove sections that don't apply.

The editor supports rich formatting including bold, italic, and links. Changes save automatically when you click outside the field.

Adjusting Estimated Values

The Estimated Value tab displays Sterling's calculated financial impact. These figures are estimates based on available data and general assumptions. Adjust them to reflect your own analysis.

Values are organized by timeframe: Immediate, Near-term, Long-term, and Estate. For each, choose between a fixed amount or a range. Use the Calculation Notes field to document your methodology.

Before You Deliver

Confirm the advice aligns with your professional standards. Verify the facts supporting each recommendation are accurate. Only then should the advice be shared with your client.
