Interactions Overview

Interactions capture your complete communication history with each household. Every email, meeting, and phone call is organized in one place, giving you full context on your client relationships.

A Complete Communication Record

Sterling automatically captures emails and meeting transcripts. You can also log phone calls and in-person meetings manually.

Types of Interactions

Sterling tracks three types of interactions for each household:

  • Emails: Synced automatically from Microsoft Outlook. Grouped by conversation thread for easy reading.
  • Transcripts: Captured from Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet recordings. Include speaker timelines and AI-generated summaries.
  • Custom: Manually logged interactions like phone calls, in-person meetings, and web chats.

Email Sync

Connect your Microsoft Outlook account to sync emails automatically. Sterling matches incoming emails to the correct household based on participant addresses. Email threads group related messages together, showing message counts and unread status.

Meeting Transcripts

When you record a meeting in Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet, Sterling captures the transcript automatically. Each transcript includes:

  • AI Summary: A quick overview so you don't need to read the full transcript
  • Speaker Timeline: See who said what and when during the meeting
  • Recap Email: Generate a client-ready follow-up email with action items

Logging Custom Interactions

Click Log Interaction to manually record communications that Sterling doesn't capture automatically. Choose the type (phone, in-person, web chat, or other), add notes, and select the participants involved. These records ensure your communication history stays complete.

Finding Interactions

The Interactions page offers three views: All Interactions, Emails, and Transcripts. Use the search bar to find specific conversations. All interactions are sorted by date with the most recent at the top.
