Task Views

Sterling offers two ways to view your tasks: Household View and List View. Each mode presents the same tasks differently to match how you prefer to work. Switch between views using the toggle button in the toolbar.

Your Preference Saves Automatically

Sterling remembers your view preference. The next time you visit Tasks, you'll see the view you last used.

Household View

Household View groups tasks by client. Each household appears as an expandable card showing the number of pending tasks. Click a card to reveal its tasks.

  • See workload at a glance: Quickly identify which households need attention
  • Expand and collapse: Focus on one household at a time or expand all to see everything
  • Task counts: Each card shows how many tasks remain
  • General Tasks: Non-household tasks appear in a dedicated card at the top

Use Household View when managing multiple clients or when you want context about each household's total workload.

List View

List View displays all tasks in a single flat list. Each task shows its household name so you always know which client it belongs to.

  • Prioritize across clients: See all tasks together to decide what's most important
  • Drag and drop: Reorder tasks by dragging them to set your priority
  • Reassign households: Move a task to a different household directly from the list
  • Quick scanning: Review your entire workload without expanding cards

Use List View when prioritizing your day or when you need to work through tasks regardless of which household they belong to.
